Tour Overview

Get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime West Greenland adventure tour led by Greenland expert Sigrún Sól. This unforgettable small-group journey takes you to some of Greenland’s most spectacular destinations, combining dramatic Arctic landscapes, rich Inuit culture, and authentic local experiences.
Our adventure begins in the charming coastal town of Ilulissat, home to the world-famous Ilulissat Icefjord (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Here you’ll witness gigantic icebergs drifting directly from the powerful Sermeq Kujalleq glacier, one of the fastest and most productive glaciers in the world. Walking along the Icefjord trails and sailing among the floating ice offers some of the most iconic scenery in all of Greenland.
During the tour, we’ll enjoy scenic fjord cruises, visit traditional Greenlandic villages, and sample authentic local cuisine while learning about centuries of Inuit history and culture. A true highlight of this West Greenland itinerary is our journey to the extraordinary Disko Island — a remote and geologically unique paradise known for its volcanic landscapes, black sand beaches, dramatic cliffs, and lush tundra meadows. Along the way, keep watch for whales as we cross Disko Bay, one of the best whale-watching regions in Greenland.
Back in Ilulissat, you’ll have time to explore museums, stroll along panoramic coastal paths, and dine in excellent restaurants showcasing the finest Greenlandic flavors. The adventure culminates with a full-day boat trip to the spectacular Eqi Glacier, where you’ll witness massive ice blocks calving thunderously into the sea — one of Greenland’s most unforgettable natural experiences.
This carefully designed West Greenland small-group tour offers the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, culture, and breathtaking nature. From towering icebergs and Arctic wildlife to local traditions and expert guiding, this journey promises memories that will stay with you forever.
